Photo submitted by Troy Junge, “I have been riding in this area for nearly 20 years, initially exploring the tracks on an old hard tail, riding from sunrise on tracks until I could find the connections and a way back out. Bushfires led to the track in the picture being bulldozed as a firebreak some 7 years ago, before this the bush would scrape both sides of a four wheel drive attempting the track. This summer a section of it has become part of the Mt. Buller ‘epic’ trail – Australia’s first IMBA recognised trail – and I guess the secret is out. This picture was taken the weekend of 30th March – the last before ski season opens – and was the maiden ride on my ‘new’ ex-demo Giant Anthem.”
