@PIT some interesting, if horrifying, history there, too. Murakami mentions Sakhalin in at least one of his books…

Cool. It’s one of the places in Russia that I’m really interested in visiting. Nature should be fantastic, likewise the remoteness of the place. Very cool. How many days have you been there?
