Bikie Girl Bloomers

Developed by a self described “mild-mannered patent attorney,” the Bikie Girl Bloomers are a line of clothes designed for commuters, that are comfortable enough to be worn all day.

The heart of the system is the Wild Ride Bike Shorts, which come in a variety of  great patterns, and vibrant colors. They have flat seams, stretch lace bands, but no padding or chamois. Retail for the unpadded bike shorts is $55.

Also available is a women’s specific cycling liner, which retails for $35, that can be combined with the Wild Ride shorts for a more performance fit. They also have a $20 removable cycling chaomis pad made by Zoic, which can be added or removed as needed.Bikie Girl Trio Skirt Set

As founder Karen Canady puts it, these outfits “can be worn, from the bike to the board room, and everywhere in between.”

The shorts are intended to be paired with the brands Hitchable Flounce Skirt. When headed out for a ride, an internal strap can be used to hitch the skirt up and out of the way, which adds a fun look, and makes it comfortable to cycle in professional clothing. You can purchase the skirt and shorts together for $125.

While many companies have comfortable and professional clothing lines for male commuters, very few offer dedicated options for women. If you’re interested in what this fun fashion line (which is made in the US!) offers ladies, you can purchase existing product on the website, or head over to Plum Alley to help Bikie Girl crowd fund their new line of apparel.
