It may have been delayed by a year due to COVID, but British Cycling are now heading to the 2020 Olympics, and they’ll be cruising around Tokyo on special limited edition Brompton x Team GB folding bikes with roaring lion Brooks Cambium C17 saddles & Brompton messenger bags. The bikes are so limited that you’ll have to hunt to find one, but the saddle & bags can be found online to show solidarity with the British Olympians.

Now with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics finally here, British folding bike maker Brompton & saddle maker Brooks England have unveiled a partnership long in the working as a bit of home team pride. Starting back at the London 2012 Olympics Brompton had already been supplying British athletes with their iconic folding bikes to get around the Olympic village and to their training centers.
Last year, Brompton even invited members of Team GB to their London factory to see the bikes being made, only their travel to Tokyo got delayed.
Pairing with Brooks, Brompton set out to make the team folders, a special edition Cambium saddle, and a few more pieces of choice gear available to the public, just in super limited quantities.

The Brompton bikes themselves are standard 16″ wheeled, steel M6L folders, with a unique semi-transparent red-lacquer finish, completed with white & blue detailing and limited edition Team GB 2020 graphics, and feature a 6-speed internally geared hub.
