We all know Brooks for the type of leather ergonomics that shape to your body over time, but their new Ergonomic Leather Grips aim to deliver similar comfort out-of-the-box, while matching your classic styling. Adding to an extensive leather and cambium rubber mix of both flat bar & drop bar grip options, the ergo leather grips seem to be the last holdout in getting a matchy-matchy set of contact points for your Brooks-equipped bike…

For more than a decade, Brooks already had narrow & fat (slender & plump, technically) round leather grips for upright bars and more recently natural leather bar tape for drop bars – and Cambium rubber versions of all of those. But the only leather one missing, that was only available in rubber, were their wide ergonomic grips – perfect for longer tours and cruises. Missing no longer.

Now, you get the same natural leather that will age and patina under your butt, also comfortably becoming unique under your sweaty palms, too.

So, the new Brooks Ergonomic Leather Grips take the familiar and comfortable pressure-relieving wing shape of their rubber analog and cover it in a natural vegetable-tanned leather to match your leather Brooks saddle. The grips do still feature a hard-wearing rubber surround and finned rubber underside for all-weather grip. And they get silver anodized alloy endcaps and a classic inboard alloy lock-on ring to keep the grips firmly in place.

NEW?? I’ve had them for several years. There was a muddle between Ergon and Brooks, when Brooks took up selling the leather grips with their name on it but still with the GP1 name same as Ergon. Ergon still sells the same grips.
