If you’ve ridden in Western North Carolina, you already know. If not, the area is not only home to some of the best mountain biking in the country, but also one of the best beer scenes as well. Cane Creek is drawing on the latter for inspiration of their newest limited edition series, the Cane Creek Small Batch.
Clad in a dark amber, the color is named after one of the most infamous beer styles, the IPA. Good news here is that you don’t have to drink it, you just have to like the color.
In the series you’ll find an IPA Hellbender 70 headset, as well as an IPA Hellbender 70 bottom bracket and crank preloader cap for their eeWings cranksets. The Hellbender 70 bottom bracket will be offered in 30mm BSA to fit their eeWings cranks, or 29mm DUB to fit SRAM cranks for $99 or $109 respectively. The crank preloader kit is priced at $29.99, and the headsets will be offered in three fitments from $80-95.
Then, there’s a matching HELM MKII suspension fork if you want to go a few beers deep on the IPA theme. The fork is priced at $899, and is offered in 29″ wheels with air or coil, and 51mm or 44mm offset and in 130-160mm travel.
To further tie it on with the beer theme, each order comes with a limited edition poster and orders over $200 also land a free pint glass with the same design. Orders are being taken now through the site below.
