CatEye is introducing a new light that has both motion and optic sensors that turn the light on (and off!) automatically when it senses motion and darkness (or lack thereof) so you don’t have to remember to do it. The new Reflex Auto front and taillights will be available in late August with an MSRP of $30 for the red rear light and $33 for the white front light.

Reflex Auto Features:

– One high power center LED + four 5mm LEDs

– 5 super-bright modes

– Up to 120 hrs of runtime (Reflex Auto Rear)

– Up to 60hrs of runtime (Reflex Auto Front)

– Runs on 2 AAA batteries

– Rear rack bracket included (Reflex Auto Rear)

Press Release: July 21, 2010; Boulder, CO – CatEye, the leading manufacturer of reflectors and bicycle electronics, introduces the new Reflex and Reflex Auto taillights. Available in either red or white, these lights are the only produced with built in reflectors that exceed international standards (USA, Great Britain, Europe, and Japan).

“We have combined our two strongest technologies to provide an amazing safety solution,” said Koichi Tsuyama, CatEye President. “Our bicycle light history and CPSC reflector capabilities make this the most technologically advanced tail light yet.”

Be seen from any angle and in any situation. Both the Reflex and Reflex Auto provide the rider with greater than 180 degrees of visibility and provide safety both while the light is turned on and while functioning solely as a reflector.
