Cedar Womens jersey

Cedar Cycling is known for their best in class, made in the US Merino wool cycling gear, which now include an option for the ladies as well. Seeing a hole in the market for a high end, made in the US jersey that was smartly tailored and specifically prototyped by women, Cedar got to work with a fit and concept summit that included 12 female cyclists from the area to figure out exactly “what they liked – made in USA, versatility, durability. What they didn’t like – tight fitting necks and shoulders, loose cuffs, high pockets and short hems. And what they needed – material comfort & performance, something full-featured, something smart, something sophisticated.”

With input from Barb Howe, and a local female pattern maker, the first runs of the women’s standard jersey was started – at a local, woman owned factory in the Bay area, of course. The jersey is available for pre order at a 10% discount until August 6th.

More details after the break.

Like the men’s Standard Jersey, the women’s is made from their proven StandardWool, which is a breathable blend of merino wool and nylon for a comfortable, anti-microbial, abrasion resistant, shape retaining fit. Tailored for a woman, the jersey features three large, easily accessible rear pockets that use bar tack stitched to keep them in place. There is a full length YKK zipper, and a soft gripper elastic on the bottom hem.

Designed in Oakland, the jersey is sewn at a factory in San Leandro, California. If you pre-order the jersey you can pick one up for $144.00, but after that the price will go up to the standard $160. Check out the Cedar Cycling site for info on sizing and washing instructions.
