WOW! Chrome has been busy cranking out new products. We recently reviewed the Yalta, put up information about the new Kursk Pro, and now they tell us their product line up has grown by four bags, a wallet, and a pair of white Tobruk shoes. Oh, and lets not forget the recent Brigadier as well.
Now, on to the goods. First up we have the Sherman race bag (photo above). It has a unique tri-fold design that allows you to carry an extra wheelset with you. The large interior pockets are perfect for packing in your shoes, tools, and extras like that energy bar. It’s made with a 1,000 denier Cordura outer shell and 18 oz. truck tarp liner with military spec. seam bindings. The Sherman runs $190 should you choose to purchase one.
Head on over to the other side for the rest of the new product line up.
Next on the list we have the Buran laptop messenger bag. This is Chrome’s bag for the working professional. It will hold up to a 17 inch laptop in the zippered, padded sleeve. On the back you get a zippered pocket for quick access to files, and you will find extra organizational pockets on the inside. Otherwise, you get the same carry structure and special features as Chrome’s standard messenger bags. It has a 1,050 denier nylon outer shell with P/U coating for light water resistance, and a 1,050 denier nylon interior lining with fully padded integrated zippered laptop sleeve. Cost for the Buran is set at $140.
To round out the new bags we have the Romer and Falcon classic messenger backpacks re-engineered to ride better. For those who want a messenger bag, but prefer two straps, this is the bag for you (and me!). The Romer is a compact everyday bag, while the Falcon is a medium sized, carry all messenger backpack.
The Romer is made with a 1,050 denier nylon outer shell, 18 oz. weatherproof truck tarp liner with military spec. seam bindings, ergonomic EVA foam back panel with air mesh shoulder straps, and has external organizational pockets (including a water bottle pocket), and slots for easy access to tool and essentials. The Romer’s volume is 26L. The Romer will delete $120 form your bank account.
With the Falcon you will find the same specs, only its volume is 35L. Expect to part with $140 for the larger size.
Chrome stands by their products as all of the above mentioned bags are guaranteed for life.
The new Spring 2011 additions are not just about bags though. The Bishop Wallet makes its introduction with a full zipper enclosure, button-close coin pocket, and stainless steel “credit card” bottle opener. It’s made from durable 1,050 denier nylon and tarpaulin, and it has four card slots as well as the standard full length bill compartment.
Last on the updates list, the Tobruk slip on shoe is now available in beautiful bright white. The shoe features a low profile design for use with toe cages, and features Chrome’s reinforced nylon/glass fiber shank to support the midsole. The Tobruk slip on shoe runs $70 USD.
On the not so new side of things, we have a review of both the Chrome Pawn and Soyuz backpacks coming soon, so stay tuned.
