I can’t be the only one excited over the elaborate riding kits that manufacturers have been bringing to market this past year or so. Sharp lines, eye searing colors, and crazy patterns are all sure to grab attention from drivers and other riders alike, as featured by Mavic and GracedByGrit. If mayhem isn’t you’re thing there’s the more simple and subdued colorful jerseys designed for the Vuelta race this year by Santini. Check it all out, past the break…

Mavic

Mavic is acknowledging the current Race to the Sun with their appropriately named Paris-Nice collection. It encompasses the entire event with Eiffel Towers, beach symbols, and of course all parts things bike. The kit offered include matching shoes, jersey, and a riding cap. The Cosmic Pro is the base for the 270€ special edition shoes and offers a carbon sole, 2 Ergo Dial lace rotors, and their comfort-focused Endofit tongue. The 80€ Cosmic jersey has a race cut and locking zipper. The 30€ Roadie cap pairs up breathable mesh panels with a sweat wicking elastic band.

GracedByGrit

In launching their first cycling kit, GracedBy Grit partnered with Betty Designs to offer active women from all sports a uniquely designed performance tailored clothing lineup. The new $130 cycling jersey features a full zip front, compression sleeves, and two large rear pockets. The $120 shorts get compressive waistband and cuffs, a 7″ inseam, and reflective details.

Santini & La Vuelta

Santini is one of Italy’s historic cycling apparel brands and as a big Pro tour sponsor has created a number of special edition race jerseys already since the start of this year. The latest are four jersey designs for the leaders in each classification during the Spanish Grand Tour – La Vuelta. Additionally, there are six complete kits available for those looking to get into the spirit of the race. The first stage we’ll see them is in Nîmes, France on August 19th. Until then we’ll have to keep an eye on Santini’s page for pricing and availability.

It is quite possible that the author is indeed the only one drooling over these designs.
