Recently, Commencal gave their META Power e-bike line an EP8 boost. Now, they’re adding something completely new to the lineup with the META TR Power. That TR stands for Trail, and it’s built for exactly that.
Taking overall design cues from the META Power, the Power TR gets its own frame design with a bit less travel. Running 140mm out back through their Contact System 4bar Linkage, and 150mm at the fork, the bike is set up for general trail fun.
The aluminum frame is built specifically to take advantage of the smaller size of the new EP8 motor, which is paired with the new 630Wh battery inside the downtube. There’s also a new chainguide which is more compact and gets mounted directly to the motor mount.
The frame features a trail-oriented geometry with a 77.5° seat tube angle and 64.5° head tube angle, though changes can be made through the two position rocker extension. All models roll on 29 x 2.4″ WT tires.
Offered in three builds, pricing ranges from $4,999 in the Sand or Gun Metal colors, to $6,999 for the META Power 29 TR Signature in a sharp high polished finish.
