Not long ago Oakley released their Prism Road sunglasses, which feature specially tuned optics that accentuate specific colors to provide better visual definition. Little did we know that Oakley can tune their lenses to any sport application they want, so they’ve now released the Prism Trail lens for mountain bikers. They work the same as the road version, but the lenses are (in layman’s terms) tuned to colors you’d see while riding off road trails, primarily greens and browns…
This ‘sport-tuning’ is what sets the Prism lenses apart from the rest. Oakley found that the eye reacts differently to colors in different environments, and with their insane optical technology they could increase contrast and detail in those environments.
Prism lenses can also be polarized, but since they’re sport specific the Trail type is not, whereas the fishing model is. The lenses are just as durable as any of Oakley’s offerings, and the Prism Trail version is now available in any of the company’s Sport frames including the Jawbreaker, Radar EV, Flak 2.0 and Half Jacket.
