Team Wit is a Dutch fixed gear crit racing team led by the cycling industry designer responsible for the Fendor Bendor, some elements of Scope Cycling‘s wheel and Bombtrack‘s bike designs, among other products. But they are putting their design chops aside and letting you determine the style that they’ll be rocking this coming year. And to do that Team Wit are leaning on Instagram’s recent Stories toolkit. That means that anybody with Instagram on their mobile device can submit their vision via the rudimentary MS Paint style tool. Check out how to enter your design and a few crazy examples after the break…

How it works: Team Wit has made templates accessible through a link in their Instagram bio that you save to your device, then upload back from the Instagram Stories camera icon on the top left of your home screen. They’ve even put together a quick tutorial for those of us who have yet to create an Instagram Story. There you get to scribble your design together using Instagram’s very limited but fun “design tool”. No need to be a fancy graphic designer, because you can’t produce something polished anyway. Exercise a bit of creativity finger painting, then tag @team.wit & your own Insta-name, and publish it to enter.

The winning designer will ride away with a jersey with their design produced by team sponsor Verge Cycling, and the honor of being the one responsible for whatever wacko Team Wit Crit Kit they’ll be racing in around the world in 2017. The team had a good year in 2016, taking wins and podiums through the Dutch Crit Cup season and aims for top ten spots in each of the Red Hook Crits in New York, London, Barcelona and Milan this year.

Enter via Instagram until midnight CET/6pm EST on next Friday the 13th of January to submit your ideas.
