Starting this Thursday, October 18th, and running through the weekend, the Dew Tour is a celebration of action sports. The free four day festival will feature BMX, FMX (freestyle motorcross), and skate competitions and takes place in the very heart of the city.

Side note: According to the SF Examiner:
“The Dew Tour is paying Rec and Park permit fees of $310,336 for sixteen days of plaza use, of which $36,832 is reimbursement for direct expenses such as park rangers or event-related wear and tear. According to the event permit, the remaining $273,504 will be profit for the department.
Including the proceeds from permit fees, many of the riders are helping to sponsor free sports clinics for city youths, and donating BMX bikes to camps. Hopefully the good will and enormous revenue raised by the permits and thousands of spectators will raise the profile of these events and ensure the Dew Tour comes back to SF next year.
The next stop on the Dew Tour takes place in Breckenrdige, Colorado from Dec 13-16th.
