DT Swiss just dropped one of the most niche sets of mountain bike wheels and hubs with this D1900 Classic wheelset and a pair of 370 DJ hubs. This is not a setup for your versatile hardtail that might transition from pumptrack to jump lines to a bit of fun trail riding. This is a brakeless thru-axle front, bolt-on singlespeed rear combo that begs to be thrown into the air, whether you prefer the ease of an out-of-the-box wheelset or want to build up your own perfect dirt jump wheelset…
DT Swiss D1900 wheels & 370 DJ hubs

“You’ve dreamed of landing a new trick in the park, you’ve talked about that triple on the pumptrack, but you’re still not sure you can pull it off.”
DT Swiss says the new D1900 Classic wheelset will “transform your energy into commitment“. That’s because, yes… you read that right. No front brake. It’ll only slow you down. Or just get tangled in your tail whips.

There’s absolutely no versatility built into these wheels and hubs, just no-nonsense dirt jump fun.
What’s new?

Brakeless means a lighter & simpler look, but also a symmetrical wheel build for even spoke tension and more durability to handle cased landings.
It’s also a unique not-quite-Boost hub spacing designed to work with pretty much any new or old DJ fork. The oversized front hub features a native 20mm thru-axle with 110mm spacing (as opposed to Boost 15×110, which of course also includes a brake mount), but can also be set up as 15x100mm to fit more standard non-Boost MTB forks.

Out back, a Ratchet LN hub delivers quick and reliable power transfer, with proven 36T star ratchet internals. The rear hub gets a one-piece steel singlespeed freehub body that integrates a tough 12T cog with a non-adjustable chainline. That means you just pop the entire cog+body off to service the freehub or replace the singlespeed cog.
Rear spacing is classic 10x135mm with simple 6mm hex bolt-on caps, and a 6-bolt IS disc brake mount.

You can get the complete 26″ wheelset built up with a 30mm internal tubeless-ready pinned alloy rim. Or build up a 370 DJ hubset for your own full custom dirt jump wheels.
