Joe Barnes, Fergus Lamb, and Lachlan Blair of Hazzard Racing have announced their continued partnership with Orange Bikes, releasing new limited edition builds of the Alpine 6 and Switch 6 enduro bikes in celebration. The Dudes of Hazzard are heading into their second season aboard the UK-made single-pivot enduro sleds, generously spec’d with Formula suspension from Italy, a OneUp Components cockpit, Hope hoops, and custom Hazzard Orange decals. There are only 10 of each available – you’re going to have to move faster than Barnes through a muddy rut if you want to get your paws on one of these.

Limited Edition Hazzard Orange Alpine 6 & Switch 6
With only 10 of each of these beauties being released into the wild, they will be almost as rare as hens teeth. With spec hand-picked by the Dudes themselves, expect nothing short of spectacular. The UK made 6061-T6 custom formed aluminium frames roll on Hope Fortus 30 wheelsets, are propelled by the Shimano XT 12 speed drivetrain, with ride plushness delivered by Italian suspension from Formula. At least, that’s true for the forks. Both the Alpine 6 and Switch 6 feature Formula’s Selva S single-air fork; delivering 170mm of travel on the Alpine 6, and 160mm of travel on the mullet Switch 6.
As for the shock, that’s guesswork. Orange flat out refuse to give the identity of the coil shock but, with a bit of not-too-wild speculation and educated guesswork, we reckon this Hazzard Orange limited edition build features Formula’s first crack at delivering rear suspension, and not just because it’s purple. Here’s our reasoning.
The Hazzard Orange limited edition builds also feature a complete OneUp component cockpit, with their 35mm stem and ovalised carbon bar, reviewed here. OneUp also deliver 180mm of drop with the V2 dropper post. Stopping power comes from 4-pot Hope V4 brakes, with the bikes finished with a Hope headset, Gusset grips and saddle, a OneUp bash guide, with the wheels seating a Magic Mary/Hans Dampf Schwalbe classic combo.
Pricing and Availability
As mentioned, there are just 10 of each Hazzard Orange Alpine 6 and Switch 6 bikes coming to market. They will be available through the Orange network of dealers, at a price of £5,200. Let’s face it, the chances of you getting your hands on one are slim to zero so, as consolation, here’s a silly edit from the Dudes of Hazzard, showing us that a nose pivot really is the only way to nail those gnarly Kinlochleven hairpins.
