Outline Works Animal shaped Bike Racks (5)

There are a lot of different bicycle display racks currently available. From simple metal hooks, to more ornate wooden designs, those looking to save space in an apartment or just wanting to show off their pride and joy have more options than ever. However, for those that would rather have a work of art that doubles as a display rather than a simple mass produced hanger, Outline Works is giving racks a little more life.

Formed into the silhouette of different animals, the solid steel racks are sort of a modern taxidermy – you know, without the need to go hunting or kill any animals. Available in three different shapes and multiple finishes, Outline works has a rack that will mix with your decor – provided you have the right bike…

Currently, Outline Works racks are really only designed to work with bikes that have mostly horizontal top tubes. Technically you could fit other bikes on the rack, but there are no guarantees that it will work. You’ll also want to make sure that you have enough space in the frame to mount the 41cm wide Bull horns or 38cm wide Deer antlers (no measurement provided for the elephant).

Each rack is coated in your choice of materials that will keep it from damaging your bike’s finish. Options include plastic rubber, short fur, or Lux metallic with leather cushions (like the gold bull above). Racks include matching hardware suitable for mounting to a brick or standard framed wall. Additional mounting kits are available for other types of walls. Designed and built in the UK, prices vary with the Bull or Deer in Plastic Rubber for £89, in Short Fur for £129 and in Lux for £189, while the elephant will run £149 in plastic rubber. U.S. prices aren’t yet set.

Aaaahhhh…..I thought the bike holder in the top picture was the upper torso of a person, not an animal’s head.
I was thinking you could put a child’s t-shirt on it and a cutout of your kid’s head above it and it looks like they’re holding your bike.
