You’re probably asking yourself – didn’t Enduro already offer bottom brackets for GXP cranksets? They did. But rather, they were basically bottom brackets for 24mm spindles with adapters to run the 24/22mm combination needed for GXP.
To make a truly GXP specific bottom bracket, it was more work than you might imagine. It started with Enduro creating a completely new double row bearing with a 22mm internal diameter to fit the non-drive side of the crank. They also had to come up with a snap ring to keep things from floating within the BB shell.
Elsewhere, there are a ton of machining details that for the most part will probably go unnoticed, but the incredible attention to detail means a precise fit without the need for any spacers or additional parts. And since the bottom brackets are either BSA threaded or their TorqTite thread together system for press fit bottom bracket shells, they should be creak free in the long run.
Offered in almost every BB standard you could need including T47 and BB386, the bottom brackets have the option of stainless bearings for $199 or Ceramic XD15 bearings which have a lifetime warranty for $289.
Enduro was also showing an all new Fork Seal Install Tool Set with a similar level of precision and detail. Using a modular system with a handle and separate pieces for the seal and wiper, Enduro is able to theoretically future proof the tool and it allows dealers or suspension tuners to use one or the other if needed. To be sold in a kit with everything shown above, the Tool Set will retail for $200 and be available in about two weeks.
