Electra Bicycle Company’s latest line of electric bikes are big on comfort and classic style, but with enough power to get you where you need to be, or make sure you have the juice to take the long route home.
For 2022, Electra, a subsidiary of Trek, has released the new Vale Go! EQ S commuter e-bike, and its comfortable cruiser cousin, the Cruiser Go!.
Both bikes feature a classic style that makes them easily recognizable for their intended purpose.
Vale Go! EQ S
The Vale Go! EQ S is powered by a Bosch Performance Line Sport motor that allows the bike to hit 28 mph. It also comes equipped with fenders, LED lights, and a rear rack to help commuters stay clean and carry everyday essentials.
On the tech side, the bike is designed around an integrated battery, has Bluetooth connectivity, and features a Bosch Kiosk handlebar-mounted monitor that allows riders to utilize turn-by-turn navigation, view battery power, and monitor speed.
With 27.5×2.4 inch tires, the Vale Go! EQ S is well suited to glide over pavement or venture off the beaten path if necessary.
The Vale Go! EQ S costs MSRP $3,749.99. It comes in four colors: Matte Evergreen, Slate Grey, Moonstone, and Blue Opal. It is also available in an EQ model that drops the Matte Evergreen color and includes a Bosch Active Line Plus 250-watt motor instead of the performance motor for MSRP $3,550.
Cruiser Go!
Electra’s Cruiser Go! is a single-speed beach cruiser as ready to tackle sandy beaches as it is pavement.
The Cruiser Go! is available in Step-Over and Step-Through designs that both harken back to the classic beach cruiser design.
Like the Vale Go! EQ S, the Cruiser Go! features an integrated battery that offers three levels of pedal assistance through a 250-watt Hyena motor on the rear hub. The bike can give a hand for up to 40 miles.
The Cruiser Go! goes for MSRP $1,550 in either step-through or step-over model.
Electra has several more electric bike offerings that have been refined for 2022 including the Townie Go! and Attitude Go!, among others.
