Like the idea of tapered silicone grips but looking for something a little… bigger? Then check out the new FIT SG grips from ESI. The third addition to their FIT line, the SGs do things a bit differently with a completely new profile.

Instead of the three stage taper of the original FIT XC and CRs, the SGs use a thicker outer section that tapers down to a thinner inner section. The SG’s use the same 30/32mm Racer’s Edge/Chunky thicknesses of the FIT CR, just with a different profile – and two more grams of silicone.

Available in black, blue, green, orange, aqua, and red, the grips sell for $32.92 each and are available now.

Things are getting expensive.

My recommendation is to take an old lock-on ring and clamp it outside of these, at the grip end, to help keep them from getting cut by tree hits and falls. You will want these to last as long as possible.

Ergonomically, I fear the bulged outer would put too much pressure on my Ulnar nerve. After three carpal tunnel surgeries, these put fear in my heart….lol. I wish grip designers would co-design with a hand surgeon.

what about in reverse with the narrower diameter on the outer edge? kinda like sushi grips.
trouble is, I’m not dropping $35 to try it out as i’m pretty sure the esi contours i have wont survive being removed from my bars.. so it’d be a sacrificial experiement.
