7Mesh – Middle Weight

The 7Mesh Gryphon mid-weight top can be used as the first or last layer of defense against the cold. It has a Polartec Power Grid material that’s composed of 93% polyester and 7% elastane to offer insulation with flexibility. Other features include an anti-microbial treatment, rear zipper pocket and reflective details. The Gryphon is available in sizes XS-XXL men’s and xs-xl women’s, and prized at $120.

Café du Cycliste – Quilting

This unisex quilted jacket by Café du Cycliste may be more suited for your pre/post-ride routines, but that doesn’t make it any less comfortable during the fall/winter season. The jacket has 700 duck down filling (responsibly sourced) contained by recycled fabric that receives a water-resistant treatment. The quilted jacket also has 2 pockets inside and out, a zipper exterior pocket for the jacket to pack into, and a full-length YKK zipper. Castelli released their complete fall/winter collection that aims to extend your road riding seasons. The collection includes long-sleeved jerseys, thermal bibs and knickers, gloves, shoe covers and more. For jackets, there’s the Alpha Ros 2 (women’s) that are suited for temperatures 46º-59ºF (8º-15ºC). It has GORE-TEX Infinium windstopper 150 fabric for wind and rain protection on the sleeves and front panel. While the back panel gets a Nano Flex Xtra Dry for added ventilation and moisture management. Other key features include a double-layer construction to add ventilation between the ProSecco Strada insulation and windproof layers, YKK front zippers, front zip pocket, 3 rear pockets, reflective details and a raw-edge waist. The Alpha Ros 2 comes in sizes XS-XL and is priced at $280.

Castelli Tutto Ros jersey

The Tutto Ros long-sleeve jersey is good for temperatures ranging from 54º-63ºF (12º-17ºC) and a water-repellent finish. The Tutto has a Nano Flex 3G fabric that has fleece inside and a slight stretch for added comfort, 3 rear pockets, reflective details and a full front zip. Sizes range from XS-XXXL and priced at $200.

Castelli Espresso Glove

The Espresso GT glove is rated for temperatures ranging from  25º-50ºF (-4º-10ºC). They feature a zip enclosure for a more secure fit, PrimaLoft Gold insulation, GORE-TEX wind/waterproof membrane, reflective details and weigh in at 138g. Sizes range from XS-XXL and they’re priced at $120.

GORE Wear has thrown their collection into the ring, and it consists of a jacket, jersey, tights and transformable jacket/vest. Additional accessories include shoe covers, beanies, leg warmers, gloves and lobster gloves. Looking at the C5 GORE-TEX Infinium Thermo jacket, it has a windproof construction that’s ideal for riding in 41º-59ºF (or lower with layers). Inside there’s a brushed fleece lining, elastic cuffs and a fitted collar. Other features include a full front zipper, 3 gusseted rear pockets and one zip rear pocket. The C5 GORE-TEX Infinium comes in sizes S-XXL and is priced at $220.

The C5 Thermo Jersey (women’s) has a thermal lining to add insulation and comfort, a full-length zipper and a fitted collar. It’s designed to handle 41º-59º temperatures, sized from XS-XL and priced at $130.

GORE Wear C5 Termal Tights

For bottoms, the C5 THERMO Bib Tights are rated to go against 41º-59º temperatures thanks to its GORE WINDSTOPPER cup tech and Thermo-stretch fabric. It has a DWR treatment, mesh back panel for ventilation and reflective details. The C5 THERMO Bibs come in sizes S-XXL and are priced at $170.

Merino is so hot right now, especially with cool weather coming. MINT Socks released their Italian made merino-blend socks. The following are their 8″ socks that go for $24 a set. The merino-blend consists of 55% merino wool, 25% polyamide and 20% elastane. The sock comes in Autumn Glow, a melody of burnt orange and red, and Grey Matter. Sizes range from XS-XXL.
