Back in January, Fara Cycling teased their new F/AR adventure bike, blurring the lines between all-road versatility and fast gravel, with its integrated strapless & quick-release bikepacking bags. Now we get a first true look at the real bike and those magnetically attached bags, which you can pre-order now to become your ultimate mixed-surface adventure endurance bike this summer…
Fara F/AR carbon endurance adventure all-road gravel bike
Now that Fara has the first new F/AR adventure all-road bike production samples in-house from Taiwan, they’re sharing a closer look at what you get if you pre-order now. As we shared a few months ago, buyers who put down a 1000€ deposit can secure one of the limited edition raw carbon finish Signature Series F/AR bikes, including the custom integrated Roswheel bikepacking bags and fenders for no extra charge.
Fara says that there are a number of the limited edition bikes still available to pre-order, with shipping for current pre-orders expected to head out in August 2021.
Those custom-made integrated bags are based on Roswheel’s standard road line. Each Signature Edition pre-order bike will include a frame size-specific frame bag (2.3L-3.6L), a 15L seat pack, and a 12L handlebar bag.
All of the bags feature a combination of Fidlock magnetic stub mounting and Fidlock dial-retention – no conventional straps required, although the bar bag does appear to stabilize with a loop around the headtube.
Custom-fit to the F/AR, Fara says the bags will also be available separately as they can be used with conventional strap mounts, as well.
Adventure road & gravel – Tech details
Fara founder Jeff Webb breaks down the details of the new all-road & gravel bike in the video above, and we covered it in-depth back in January.
Our key takeaways are the up to 700 x 38mm slick or 35mm knobby tire clearance…
…fast all-road geometry, and the Fidlock magnetic mounting & quick-release of the integrated bags setup.

Fara F/AR all-road gravel bike – Pricing & current availability
Fara says they will ship the bikes anywhere in the world once they are ready later this summer. Those first pre-orders are still on track to ship in May, but those who order today will be looking at August, later if you keep waiting. Fara seems to be keeping buyers regularly updated about when to expect their shipment.
F/AR framesets are still on offer from 2500€ for those looking to build a custom adventure bike. Compete bikes start at ~3500€ with Shimano Ultegra mechanical & Fulcrum RapidRed 3 alloy wheels, then the prices start climbing once you customize with Shimano or SRAM electronic shifting or carbon wheels & cockpit. The full bike customizer tool will go online in June for buyers to finalize those more complex builds before they start to ship.
The raw carbon pearl reflective Signature Edition is only available to those who pre-order now, with Fjord Green, Wet Asphalt, Winter Sky Blue & Morell Red coming with the online configuration tool in midsummer.
