Brooks’ fabric & rubber Cambium saddles are a popular choice for cyclists blending classic looks & modern tech, but still don’t like wet weather. Now the new Cambium C13 All-Weather family delivers waterproof versions of Brooks’ lightest saddle with full carbon rails, for gravellers, bikepackers & commuters who pedal in the harshest conditions.
Brooks Cambium C13 All-Weather waterproof saddles
Brooks’ carbon railed Cambium C13 saddles are popular with riders looking to mix traditional looks & flexible comfort, with all of the modern tech & light performance of a carbon railed perch. But while the standard cotton canvas topped Cambium saddles are less maintenance than their leather analogs, they still aren’t waterproof, and they do break down over time if they get and stay wet.
That’s no longer an issue now that the same nylon fabric reinforced natural rubber top first debuted on heavier Cambium All-Weather commuter saddles with steel rails, now finally gets mated to the high performance carbon railed version of the original C13.
I like it especially for the gravel and adventure riding crowd, where modern hi-tech bikes abound, and the riding conditions can at times get messy.

Cambium C13 All-Weather Tech Details & Actual Weight
The new Brooks Cambium C13 All-Weather embeds a waterproof nylon fabric into the natural rubber top that gives it its signature flex and comfort. The C13 A-W saddle comes in two widths 132mm & 145mm, and in both the standard solid-topped saddle & the ‘carved’ option with an ergonomic cutout. Besides offering additional pressure relief, the carved saddle is significantly more flexible through the middle of the saddle top offering more comfort, while still retaining stiffness close to the nose or rear of the saddle.
Underneath, the saddle bolts on the stiff one-piece full carbon loop base with 7x9mm oval rails. (note: white tape only to mark rail position for re-install)
We got ahold of an early sample of the wide 145mm Carved version of the saddle, and put it on our scale for a 272g actual weight. Brooks claims 280g for this wide model, or 259g for the narrow ones.
Not bad for a Brooks saddle.
Cambium C13 All-Weather pricing & new white options
The lightest saddle that Brooks make sells for the same 200€ for the All-Weather version as the cotton Cambium C13, made in Italy.
We also teased it a bit from our Eurobike coverage of the organic cotton Cambia, but the new C13 All-Weather also brings a first for Brooks in a new color option. The all-white version is a first for a Cambium, using a totally white natural rubber shell with white nylon fibers embedded.
All of the black or white, narrow or wide & regular or carved Cambium C13 All-Weather saddles sell for the same price and are available now, straight from Brooks or through their international dealers.
