We’ve all seen the spy shots, now Fizik’s all-new helmet lineup is finally here. And it includes not just the one shell we’ve already seen racing XC, but 4 new helmets spanning from triathlon to trail riding. These lightweight helmets benefit from aerodynamic optimization across all disciplines, uniquely adjustable fits, and come packing the latest in crash safety backed by the unobtrusive MIPS Air Node system inside & a snap-on taillight out back for the three everyday helmets.
Fizik debuts 4 all-new helmets for road, gravel & MTB

Most known for their shoes and saddles, Fizik expands their head-to-toe concept with the introduction of 4 performance cycling helmets. We knew they were coming very soon after we spotted the Orbea Factory XC team racing with what we now know is the new Kudu. But we didn’t know the Italian brand would hit the ground running with such a wide range in one fell swoop.
What’s new?

What you get are:
- Kunée – an all-in teardrop aero helmet for time trials and triathlon racing
- Kudo Aero – a completely closed-off aero road helmet that retains only minimal venting
- Kudo – a light, versatile & fully-ventilated helmet that covers road, gravel, and cross country cycling
- Kassis – a more traditional mountain bike helmet with extended coverage and a visor for all-around trail riding
While the helmets cover a broad spectrum, for the most part they share a lot of the same tech.
(Mostly with the Kassis, Kudo & Kudo Aero, as the Kunée kinda does its own TT thing.)
Aero means lower drag and better ventilation

A big part of that is aero optimization, but not only to limit aerodynamic drag. Fizik explains that the rapid progress in CFD allowed them to simulate both airflow over & around each of their all-new helmet designs, but also to better optimize maximum ventilation into and through the new helmets.

That leads to a subtle but unique ventilation design that includes long horizontal forward vents right over your brow. Plenty of other helmets have low front-facing vents. But uniquely, the Fizik helmets push air directly onto the forehead, splitting the main front internal padding vertically in two, in order to better cool the front of your head.
Possibly a fit for all heads?

Another bit of unique tech across the new Fizik helmets is their Custom Crown Adjustment. Most cyclists will know that some helmet brands simply fit them better than others – it often depends if your head shape tends more towards round or oval. Fizik’s solution is to start with a pretty common 360° plastic retention system with dial adjust in the back – to fit heads from 52-61cm around.
But they take it to a new level with little red pins that attach this retention loop to the helmet shell. Use just the standard position 1 pin if you have a narrower head and the loop tightens against your head as you dial in the fit. Position 2 holds that loop a bit further out, and Position 3 secures the loop all the way to the side of the helmet shell for improved comfort for riders with a ‘more round’ head shape. (I like #2 for the best fit, personally.)
Plus, there are still 4 vertical positions to adjust the rear occipital cradle, too.
Safety with MIPS Air Node

Industry-mandated safety standards are a minimum. But the three everyday Fizik cycling helmets all feature MIPS Air Node inside for additional protection when non-linear impact forces come into play. Air Node is the least intrusive MIPS solution yet – no yellow plastic liner inside. You might not even notice it if it weren’t for the yellow dot on the outside of the helmet. Combining each helmet’s padding with the classic MIPS slip layer, there’s no compromise in ventilation, but the helmet shell can still move independently of the rider’s head in a glancing blow to dissipate some of those rotational forces before they get to your brain.

Boosting everyday safety a bit more, each Kassis, Kudo & Kudo Aero helmet includes a small snap-in rear light that pushes firmly and securely into place for improved visibility when sharing the road. (A basic snap-in reflector and a simple cover plate are also included.)

The small 35-lumen taillight is USB-C rechargeable (no cable required) and features two simple modes steady-on for 1.5hr or flashing for 3hr run times. It’s also available separately for $30/30€, but so far only fits these three helmets where it is already included.
Shared Tech Details
- conventional lightweight in-mold construction with polycarbonate shells over EPS foam for impact absorption
- dial-adjustable 360° fit, with 3-position rear height adjustment
- additional 3-position Custom Crown Adjustment to fit heads of all shapes
- traditional adjustable webbing straps and simple plastic buckle
- CE EN 1078:2012 or CPSC 1203 certified, depending on market

All-new Fizik helmets – Pricing, options & availability
Fizik Kassis extended coverage MTB trail helmet

The Kassis is a classic mountain bike trail helmet design. It features extended temple and occipital protection, plus an adjustable visor offering room for sunglasses (and maybe goggles). It sells for $200 / 200€, making it the most affordable of the bunch in three color options – all white, a subtle three-tone slate/navy blue, or three-tone light brown Mud/Sand tan/slate gray.
“Combining exception ventilation with enhanced protection in the occipital and lateral areas, the lightweight yet durable construction provides extended coverage for demanding off-road conditions.”
- 3 sizes available – S (52-56cm), M (56-59cm), L (59-61cm)
- claimed weights from 330g (without included taillight)
Fizik Kudo vented road, gravel & XC helmet

The Kudo is Fizik’s best light all-rounder out of the bunch.
It sells for $290 / 290€ and comes in three colors – all white, all black, or two-tone bronze. It sells for $290 / 290€ and comes in three colors – all white, all black, or two-tone bronze.
“Designed for road, gravel and XC riders, the highly ventilated and lightweight helmet is ideal for cyclists tackling long mountain climbs, gravel adventures and everyday riding.”
- 3 sizes available – S (52-56cm), M (56-59cm), L (59-61cm)
- claimed weights from 270g (without included taillight)
Fizik Kudo Aero aero road helmet

The Kudo Aero is effectively identical to the Kudo, except for a fully closed polycarb shell over its top for smoother aerodynamics, plus a small additional clear plastic spoiler off the back for even better airflow. It also sells for $290 / 290€ and comes in its own three colors – two-tone white with a clear spoiler, black with a spray can speckled top and a tinted spoiler, or silver and white with a fluo yellow spoiler.
“Engineered for speed, the aero design features strategically placed air inlets to balance ventilation with aerodynamic efficiency. The Kudo Aero is the perfect choice for riders seeking additional watt savings in road races and beyond.”
- 3 sizes available – S (52-56cm), M (56-59cm), L (59-61cm)
- claimed weights from 270g (without included taillight)
Fizik Kunée aero TT & Tri helmet

The Kunee features the most aerodynamic of the bunch, with a magnetically-attached & ventilated visor – both clear and mirrored visors, included. It is also the only one not to include MIPS or taillight compatibility, but still has removable/washable padding. It sells for $380 / 380€ and comes in white with a gray cowl, or possibly a slate blue with a navy cowl.
“Developed through extensive wind tunnel and CFD testing, its teardrop profile, smooth shell, and strategically corrugated side panels minimize drag while optimizing airflow. A honeycomb-grid ventilation system above the visor ensures cooling without compromising aerodynamics, while additional vents and lightweight padding enhance airflow and thermoregulation.”
- 2 sizes available – S/M (54-58cm), M/L (58-61cm)
- claimed weights from 350g (without included visors)
- includes protective helmet case

All four new helmets are available now directly from Fizik, and through all of their regular retail channels – like your local bikeshop where you can probably try one on to confirm your ideal fit.
