Mark Russell of the Queen City Cycling Club sent us this notice for a free women’s only mountain bike clinic being held Saturday, August 8th from 4-6pm at Montgomery Hall Park in Staunton, VA. The clinic will focus on beginner mountain bike skills, but is open to women mountain bikers of all skill levels.
Mark and local cyclists put in many hours building 4+ miles of mountain bike trails at the park over the past year. With the new trails available, he’d been asked by a number of local women cyclists to help them with their trail riding. He thought it would be better to have Pro/Elite women mountain bikers show them how to do it–so he brought in Johanna Kraus of Velo Bella, Denelle Grant of Gary Fisher 29er Crew, and Kylie Krauss of IF Racing.
