- Save the trails in Pisgah in North Carolina!! There is a possibility that parts of Pisgah will be designated as “wilderness areas” and mountain bikes will be forbidden. Of particular concern are the South Mills and Davidson River areas near the Pisgah Forest community. - Southern Cross Ultra Gravel Grind has been rescheduled to March 14, 2015 due to Storm Damage in North Georgia. On Monday, February 16th, North Georgia was hit with freezing rain that has caused considerable damage in some areas, particularly the National Forest land being utilized for the course. REGISTRATION IS OPEN until 8 pm on Wednesday March 11th!

- Tuscany’s famed L’Eroica vintage bike ride will be coming to the United States for the first time in its nineteen year history this spring. After visiting this past fall, L’Eroica creator Giancarlo Brocci himself chose Paso Robles as the location for the first L’Eroica in the United States. - In last week’s Friday RoundUp our headline was about peer-to-peer global bike sharing site Spinlister. Well, it was brought to our attention that there’s another app called Spokefly that does the bike rental thing as well, albeit a bit differently. Instead of you contacting the bike owner directly, you simply use the app to pick a bike to ride and go to its location and unlock it. You may then ride it anywhere and not have to return it to the spot where you originally got it. - We want to send our get well wishes to Debra Banks of Rivet Cycle Works. Several weeks ago Debra was out on a road ride with friends when she and some of the other riders were struck by a drunk driver. Unfortunately Debra suffered a severely busted ankle requiring 7 hours of surgery. She’ll be off the bike for a while and also won’t be able to make it to NAHBS as she cannot put weight on that ankle. Get well Debra, and we hope you’re back on the saddle real soon.
