- From Paul of Berry Mountain Cycles in Australia: “Meet Sharn (above), she was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease at 30 years old. One year on she’s doing Ironman Cairns with the assistance of her pilot Craig. We met her the other day with her Custom Greenspeed über chariot which has been kitted out kindly by Shimano with Di2 because she is not able to change gear with traditional shifters. Specialized US organised a Tarmac SL4 for Craig. She’s an incredible women and I find it inspirational that her entire team are so positive! She has a killer smile and sense of humour. This for me is what riding bikes is all about, it can be tough right! But shit it’s fun. I’m so glad we’re fortunate enough to work with people like this – this is bikes. Her mission is to compete Ironman Cairns and raise awareness of MND. I’d love it if you could share her photo and her story. www.shining4sharn.org.au“
