If you’re riding a FSA Gossamer BB30 double road crank, listen up. The company says that one some of their Gossamer BB30 models, the non-drive side crank arm can snap at the bolt shoulder, even when tightened according to FSA’s spec’s. Find out how to tell if your cranks are affected, and what to do to get them replaced after the break.
Affected cranks have a serial number starting with 10B, 10C, or 10D. Serial numbers are located on the inside of the crank arm just above the pedal threading. See picture below.
FSA says that Gossamer BB30 non-drive side arms are the only products in this recall, and MegaExo, all Gossamer BB30 drive-side arms, and Gossamer BB30 triple cranksets are not affected. Owners should stop use immediately and have the arm replaced by their local FSA dealer at no cost.
