While Officina Battaglin closed their doors to customer visits for the past few months, they were still working… compiling this “Here’s My Dream Bike” book, detailing 45 custom bike build projects and the stories behind each bike. And now, as their workshop soldiers on, Battaglin is giving another 500 copies away to inspire a whole new crop of cyclists dreaming of their own custom Italian steel bike!

The custom steel road bike builders of Officina Battaglin have been hunkered down in northern Italy for the past few months. Sure, they’ve been in lockdown, but they’ve never really stopped building custom frames. And with doors closed to outsiders while they weather the eye of the Corona storm, they are looking to lift cyclists back up.
Originally created for customers only, Battaglin is making the book they created of tons of custom bike builds available for free to any cyclist looking for inspiration – all you have to do is pay for shipping.
When they first opened up the free book offer in April to their mailing list, they ended up shipping 400 copies around the world in the first week, quickly running out of the initial printing. So, back to the presses, they have another 500 copies to send out to anyone who wants to dream of a custom steel bike, hand-built in the foothills of northern Italy.
To get your free copy of Here’s My Dream Bike, just head over to their website and sign up for their mailing list. Then, they will redirect you to PayPal, where it will likely cost you 10-20€ for the expedited shipping they use.
You’ll get the Here’s My Dream Bike book to inspire you to custom steel, plus their Men of Steel magazine that flashes back to the 1981 Giro d’Italia won by owner Giovanni Battaglin. Once these 500 are gone, price including global shipping will go back up to 34€.
