Funn Mamba S combination clipless and platform pedals
The new Funn Mamba S does everything the original DH-ready Mamba did just with a smaller, lighter pedal body for more all-rounder mountain biking and fewer rock strikes. Funn calls it “the power of clips with the control, fun, and freedom of flats“.
What’s new?
The new Funn Mamba S features an 83mm wide x 98mm long pedal body (down from 101mm x 102mm of the larger DH-focused original). That size down also means reduced weight, making them more trail bike-friendly. The Mamba S now claims weights of 405g for 1-sided clipless (down 45g) or 465g for 2-sided clipless (down 35g).
Tech details
Otherwise, the new Mamba S pedals are CNC machined from the same 6061 alloy and come out to the same 13.4mm thickness for the aluminum body, plus the same SPD-compatible clipless mechanisms. Each clipless side gets 4 replaceable traction pins, while flat-only sides up that to 11 replaceable pins (spare pins & pin tool included.)
It spins on the same chromoly axle with the same combination of DU bushing and outer sealed cartridge bearing, and uses Funn’s GRS grease port system to make it easy to keep your pedals spinning smoothly. Replacement axles, pins & cleats are also available separately to keep you riding for years to come.
Funn Mamba S – Pricing, options & availability
The new lighter Funn Mamba S pedals come 1 or 2-sided clipless versions and in six ano color options – red, orange, green, blue, black & gray. The 1-sided clipless Single pedals retail for $125 / £105, and 2-sided clipless Double pedals for $135 / £110, almost the same price as the originals.
