Don’t tell MTB rider, Glen Jacobs, that poetry and trail work don’t mix. In fact, don’t tell us so, either.
“Soil Searching” follows a team of workers and friends as they cut mountain bike trails into the loamy mountainsides of Hogervarde, Norway. Jacobs’ rhythmic narration provides a pleasing, lyrical backdrop.
Throughout most of the action, his vast experience — “I’ve been doing this since before there was a thing called mountain biking” — guides the yeoman’s work.
