Gore is expanding its shoulder-season cycling lineup with a set of thoughtfully engineered pieces designed to help you make the switch when the temperature drops. The new range includes the Swiftride Thermo Bib Tight, Spinshift Long Sleeve Jersey, Spinshift Windbreaker, and a versatile base-layer staple — the Essential Merino Sock. Every piece is available in both men’s and women’s cuts, with mostly subdued or hi-viz colorways. However, some pieces come in super cool monochromatic tie dye offering.

Swiftride Thermo Bib Tights — (Men’s / Women’s)
The Swiftride Thermo Bib Tight is Gore’s answer to those grey, 45-degree days when your legs need insulation but not bulk. A recycled thermo-fleece interior should provide warmth and moisture management, while a dual-density foam chamois with partial perforation adds breathability for long stints in the saddle.
A high waistline and wide mesh straps keep things supportive without feeling constrictive, distributing pressure evenly across the shoulders. Gore says the fit hits that sweet spot between endurance comfort and performance compression. If they are anything like the other Gore winter tights we have, the windproof crotch panel is clutch for those super cold down hill. Ideal for tempo rides, early-morning commutes, or base-miles season.

Spinshift Long Sleeve Jersey — (Men’s / Women’s)
If there’s one piece that earns year-round use, it’s the Spinshift Long Sleeve Jersey. I have a similar jersey form Gore and it gets lots of use. Its thin but built it with high-stretch, moisture-wicking fabric that hugs the body for a streamlined, no-flap fit. The material feels soft against the skin yet manages moisture efficiently when the pace kicks up.
Practicality isn’t forgotten — three rear pockets plus a secure zip pocket handle snacks, tools, or a phone, while a silicone hem gripper keeps everything in place or a windbreaker you’ve shoved inside while over heating. It’s the kind of jersey that quietly becomes a mainstay in your cool-weather rotation.

Spinshift Windbreaker — (Men’s / Women’s)
The Spinshift Windbreaker slots perfectly into Gore’s line: lightweight, weather-ready, and cut for the riding position. Its low-air-permeable outer shell blocks wind without trapping sweat, while a specially woven anti-cling interior keeps it comfortable directly against the skin.
Designed with Kinetic Positioning, GORE’s patterning optimized for an on-bike posture, it eliminates fabric bunching on the hoods or in the drops. A DWR finish helps shrug off road spray and drizzle, making it the ideal grab-and-go layer for cold starts, late descents, or unpredictable spring conditions.

Essential Merino Socks
Rounding out the kit, GORE’s Essential Merino Socks combine natural wool fibers with synthetic reinforcement for comfort, breathability, and long-term durability. The merino blend regulates temperature naturally across three seasons, while a mesh upper enhances airflow, and a reinforced toe and heel box help prevent wear—simple, effective, and quietly premium — precisely what you want from your daily socks. These socks (the Gore ones) are among my favorites for wet/cold weather. They keep the heat coming, no matter if they are wet or not. Plus, the thermoregulation is awesome.
