Sometimes you just want a comfy pair of pants. Maybe you’re biking on a trail close to home. Or you’re on a social ride with friends. Or you’re going big with a weekend bikepacking trip.
In those moments, Lycra may be a little much — you might want pants that feel more casual, in both style and comfort. If you’re looking for a great all-around option for everyday shorts and pants, the new Chino-style clothing line from Handup might fit the bill.
The company known for its gloves recently announced its All Time (A.T.) PLUS Shorts and Pants. Handup built the collection with materials it says makes it tougher than its standard A.T. line of apparel. The company doesn’t go into specifics, but it specifies that everything in the PLUS line dries quickly, making it ready for “rowdier adventures” while “still looking like your daily pants.”
Handup AT PLUS Shorts and Pants
With the A.T. PLUS, Handup kept the same cut and fit as its standard line, while also improving its durability and flexibility.
Made for adventures that “put a beating on your gear,” these casual shorts will also keep you comfy while out and about.
They aim to stay flexible through the seat and thigh, and abrasion resistant all over. The cut rises to just above the knee. The shorts have quick-drying, stretchable fabric made from 90% nylon, 10 percent spandex.
A hidden YKK zipper front pocket helps you hold onto your valuables (phone), and a drawstring inside the waist band gives the fit flexibility. There are also double belt loops in the back and “minimal logos,” the company said.
Handup took the same approach with the AT+ pants, basing them on the original line but seeking to add durability and flexibility, while limiting time to dry.
Pricing and Availability
Handup offers five color options for both the pants and shorts, including obsidian, ranger, stone, copper tan, and steel gray.
The A.T. PLUS pants sell for $80 and the shorts sell for $64.
