Thousand gets ready for summer
Thousand released 2 limited edition Summer Ready colorways of their heritage helmet. They keep all of the features that make their heritage helmets great such as the lock port for securing the helmet during storage, a magnetic buckle for one-handed use, a dial adjustment knob, and 7 minimalist vents. The $90 Summer Ready helmets come in Daybreak Red, and GT Stripe and are available in sizes S – L.
Garneau launches the Equipe helmet
The latest protection out of Garneau is the Equipe helmet. It has an in-mold shell with 33 vents and MSB reinforcement technology. And it uses their new Spiderlock Duo harness system which claims to offer the perfect fit with one hand adjustability. As for the chinstraps, their new V-lock divider locks the straps in place for set it and forget it fit. The $100 helmet also has antimicrobial pads and weighs in around 260g. Men’s and women’s options of the Equipe are available in grey, black, white, and blue in sizes S – L.
Tifosi designs for modern performance
The latest pair of shades from Tifosi is the Aethon. It offers wrapped protection from the sun and debris with a modern active look. They tout features such as polycarbonate lenses, Grilamide TR-90 frames (durable and shatterproof), hydrophilic rubber on adjustable nose and ear pads, and UV protection. Each $80 pair includes a hard case and vented interchangeable lenses. The Aethon is available in 3 sizes M – XL and blue, black, white, and smoke colors. The smoked grey color has a Fototec lens that adjusts to the ambient light.
