It’s no secret that Intense has been hard at work on a new 29″ DH platform. After hand making concept bikes in Temecula, CA out of aluminum starting in 2016, Intense Factory Racing would go on to test out five different prototypes throughout the 2017 World Cup. It wasn’t until Crankworx Whistler in late 2017 that the first carbon prototype appeared and was raced under Jack Moir.
Now, a few month later Intense is making the addition to the line official – though you can’t buy one just yet.
Adding to the list of Intense FRO bikes, or For Racing Only, the M29 FRO will apparently be offered in a build that is exactly that of their Factory race team.
While the official spec and price hasn’t been released yet, we assume that will include ENVE wheels, a SRAM X01 DH drivetrain, and top shelf RockShox suspension. Combine that with the fact that there will only be 15 bikes available world wide from the outset, and each will be hand assembled by their factory Race Mechanic and signed by Jeff Seber, and you shouldn’t expect these to come cheap.
