INTERBIKE 2009 – Joe Breeze is taking the commuter and casual cycling crowd very seriously. Sure, he had two new Breezer mountain bikes, but he had the rest of their booth full of commuters, city bikes, electric bikes and even a little folder called the Ziggy. If you need/want to get around by bicycle, there’s a Breezer for you.
Above is the new Power Trip EX, which is available in both a men’s and women’s frame. It’s an electric pedal-assist bike that uses a front motor hub to add a little oomph to your effort. The rear rack holds the battery and electronics, which you can remove easily if you want to just use it like a normal bicycle. They come with a suspension fork, fenders and front and rear lights standard.

The Power Trips have internal wiring running through the hydroformed alloy frame. It has an internal headset, too.
The battery pack slides in and out of the rack for easy recharging indoors. Note the tube shaping at the seat/top tube junction.
While some of the Breezer commuters are on the high end for city bikes (but you can feel the love), the Power Trips seem competitively priced for e-bikes.
2010 BREEZER FINESSE
The Finesse is a high end alloy commuter bicycle that’s available with disc or v-brakes.
The dyno front hub powers front and rear LED lights,
The bottom bracket lets you adjust the chain tension using an eccentric BB shell.
Wiring for the rear lights runs through the frame to keep things clean.
Breezer’s internal brake mounts (Alfine brakes!) complete the package.
2010 BREEZER GREENWAY
For those looking to spend less coin on a commuter, there’s the Greenway. It’s a hydroformed alloy frame with normal gearing and v-brakes and a mix of Ritchey and Breezer-branded components.
2010 BREEZER UPTOWN
For the heavy duty commuter, the Uptown can be loaded up to carry everything you need for light errands on the way to and fro.
It’s available in the “8” with a Shimano 8-speed internal hub, and the “7” (below) as a women’s frame.
The Uptown 7 gets huge breezer dropouts to offer several mounting points for both fenders and racks.
2010 BREEZER VILLAGER
Like the Finesse, the Villager is an alloy frame with fenders, rack and lights, but it gets normal gearing via a derailleur and a triple crankset up front for a bigger range.
It’s also a lot less expensive since it comes standard with v-brakes and no Alfine. The frame has rear disc brake mounts, though, so you could upgrade later.
A little fuzzy, but shoes the rack/fender mounts.
Integrated headset and lights complete the package.
2010 BREEZER ZIGGY FOLDING BIKE
The Breezer Ziggy is their answer to the folding bike market, and it uses a basic fold-in-half design. Unlike the Zig7, the Ziggy gets an internally geared hub and fully enclosed chain guard. It comes with fenders and v-brakes and has a height-adjustable steerer tube.
