That’s right! Geax’s AKA 2.2 is now (or will soon be) available for 29ers. One of the few fast tires that allows the rider to carry speed through loose corners, the AKA is both surprisingly fast and surprisingly confidence inspiring. The 29er version will be available only in the wider 2.2 size (with its larger knobs than the 2.0) in tube compatible casings with wire (770g) and folding (650g) beads as well as tubeless-ready when paired with Geax’s bombproof TNT casing (750g). This is one tire that we’ll absolutely be picking up and testing this winter. Gratuitous tread shot after the jump…
