Shutt Velo Rapide (or Shutt VR) is a clothing company that makes Sportwool jerseys and very nice looking shorts/bibs, entirely in England (think Rapha with color photography).  Shutt VR has been getting great reviews elsewhere and their Pro shorts and Signature Sportive jersey were handsome (but unassuming) in person.  The details looked good on both and the prices did not seem unreasonable given their materials and first world manufacture.  Shutt will be distributed in North America by Stage-Race Distribution in Toronto.  Click through for details and contact information…

The trademark colorblocks on the company’s Signature Sportive jersey are what pulled us into the Stage-Race booth…  Plan on spending $180 for your own.

Not so slavishly devoted to wool, Shutt use Miti Power Lycra and a TMF seamless chamois for their Pro Shorts.  There’s a lot to the pad alone, but the rest of the bibs featured very light, soft mesh and grippy (but not overly aggro) leg bands. Apologies for the unflattering photos- we’ve featured some of the Stage-Race guys’ photos in our Picture of the Day feature and look forward to a well-shot catalog…
