With his Trail Boss video series, Jeff Lenosky has been seeking out the toughest trails around the U.S. that you may or may not know about. As always, Jeff makes everything look way too easy, but if you happen to be near Roanoke, VA you can try your hand at Rattlin’ Run. Having gotten my ass kicked by this trail twice, watching this dude clean everything without ever breaking 140bpm just made me sad. It may not look like much on screen but that trail is pretty tech in either direction. The Carvin’s Cove trail system is a blast in general and it seems like they are always doing some solid trailwork out there!

Love watching Jeff ride! I’ve never seen east coast mountains so dry. Loam, wet rocks and roots are the norm, not dust. Climate change sucks.
