It’s Friday. That means it’s time to start thinking about weekend rides, and post ride bevies, if you’re into that sort of thing. If you are, then you’ll soon be able to toast a great day on the bike with the help of the Trail Boss – Jeff Lenosky.
As you may know, early this year Jeff jumped over to REEB bikes as his new bike sponsor. The move made sense when you consider Jeff’s longstanding relationship with Oskar Blues and their Can’d Aid nonprofit. Obviously the relationship is about giving back more than it is about beer, but the beer is still a big part of it.
Now, there’s a new beer that has been added to the mix which is inspired by the Trail Boss himself. Called TB IPA, or Trail Boss India Pale Ale, the beer is actually a session IPA with a 4.9% ABV and 35 IBUs.
“Partnering with Oskar Blues to collaborate on a beer is a dream come true,” says Lenosky. “I remember finishing a ride many years ago and someone handed me a Dale’s. I never would have dreamed mountain biking and craft beers would become so intertwined and that I would become part of that culture.”
Available mid-November in 6-packs of 12 oz cans and on draft at all Oskar Blues tap rooms, sales of the beer will go to support Can’d Aid and the Treads + Trails program. Through that program, Jeff has helped to provide almost 3,000 bikes to low income children over the past 5 years.
