Jeff Jones is back with another Complete Boxed Bike. But wait, don’t all complete bikes come in a box? Yes, most of them do, but in this case Complete Boxed Bike refers to the fact that it is a stock build option rather than a custom selected build to go along with one of the Jones framesets. Like the SWB Complete Boxed Bike launched last year, the LWB (Long Wheel Base) Complete Boxed Bike is meant as a way to get more people riding Jones bikes with more affordable builds, ready to go straight from the box.
As the name would suggest, the Jones LWB is the longer option that’s based around big 29 x 2.8-3.25″ tires. The butted 4130 chomoly steel frame has a set back and upright seating position with a Hones H-Grip 710mm handlebar for a comfortable ride. The frame also features full rack and fender mounts and the ability to carry five water bottles with four of those locations fitted with three pack mounts.
You have the choice of knobby tires with the Vee T-Fatty 29 x 3″, or you can opt for the largest 29″ slick available in the Vee Speedster in a 29 x 2.8″, both 72 tpi and tubeless ready.
Available in three frame sizes, all builds include a 1×12 SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain with Tektro MD-M300 mechanical disc brakes. The rest of the build features a number of Jones branded parts including the wheels which are a unique 150 x 15mm front hub and 148 x 12mm rear hub combination with 32 spokes and 50mm wide double wall rims. Pricing starts at $2,050 plus $95 flat rate shipping, and the bike is available in either tire combination in black or red. Available now.
