What’s better than the Düroc SD37 PRO wheels from Sun Ringlé? Limited edition Düroc SD37 PRO wheels with purple hubs, of course. The old school among us will instantly recognize that anodized hue as 3D-Violet, and it’s still as cool as ever. The color pops up every once in a while, lately as part of limited edition components like these wheels.

The hubs in question are the recently re-introduced Ringlé Super Bubba hubs. Unlike the recent Blacklabel 309/289r wheels which feature the Super Bubba X hub, these wheels use the Clock’D version of the Super Bubba. That means there are dual adjustable ratchet rings inside that you can use to choose your level of engagement. For those who want faster engagement can opt for the staggered ratchet ring position which allows for 4° of engagement from the 6 pawl system (three pawls double stacke). Or, if you prefer more durability, you can rotate one of the ratchet rings to match up with the other which gives you 8° of engagement, but doubles the durability by spreading the load over both sets of pawls.

Hub shells are forged from 6061 aluminum with a 7075 aluminum axle, and feature touches like symmetrical front end caps, tool free hub service, and a single 6902 bearing size used throughout both hubs for easily sourcing parts.

Each wheel is built using 28 straight pull DB14 Wheelsmith spokes with brass nipples, and the Sun Ringlé Düroc SD37 rim. The SD stands for Super Duty meaning these rims are built to be extra durable with improved sidewall dent resistance and are approved for enduro, gravity, and e-bike usage.

The rims have a 32mm inner width and are offered in both 27.5 and 29″ wheel sizes. Of course, the wheels are tubeless ready, and they even ship pre-taped with tubeless sealant and valves in the box. Pricing is per wheel with the front selling for $359.99 and the rear for $539.99 for both sizes.
