Maya Cycle cargo trailers are showing at Interbike, booth 5006. They will be raffling two trailers from the show at the booth on Sept. 24th at 1pm.

Maya Cycle is announcing it’s re-worked bicycle cargo trailers with a booth at the 2010 Interbike show. With a two year delay to market due to quality concerns, they’ve found a new manufacturer, and are proud to offer an even better (100% quality assured) product. They claim to have made the trailer easily attachable (in 3.5 seconds) and, when detached, handles fold down to convert the trailer into a wheelbarrow–so you can easily transport your load to it’s next destination. They are offering 20% off orders placed at Interbike, and a free cycle bag with all purchases. Retail price is $279.

Press release after the break.

Press Release: Two years in the making and on its third Interbike show, Maya Cycle bicycle cargo trailers are finally available to the US market via www.mayacycle.com and local bicycle retail stores. Maya Cycle decided not to launch at the 2009 Interbike show due to unacceptable quality issues found within its first production cycle. Stamet Tech went on searching for a manufacturer capable of meeting the demand of the bicycle industry with a 100% quality assured Maya Cycle trailer. With success, Stamet Tech Inc is now offering a promotion of 10 to 20% off orders placed at the Interbike show in Las Vegas and is raffling two of the show’s samples at booth #5006 on Friday September 24th at 1:00pm. With inventory ready for shipment to customers across America the excitement for the newest and most versatile bicycle trailer is becoming contagious!

Maya Cycle has improved drastically since the company’s first Interbike show in 2008. Features such as the handle-bars and kick-stand have been modified to be even more convenient. The wheel is larger and the wrench-key has been replaced with lock-wing nuts, reducing the time of attaching the trailer to the bicycle to only 3.5 seconds! Even the flag and free Maya Cycle bag got a face lift in the process. It is no wonder why people have been waiting patiently for this product. At a retail price of $279.00 USD with a bonus free bag included, how could you go wrong?

With 100% quality control and a dedicated team to maintaining this standard, Stamet Tech is excited to offer the world the most convenient and versatile accessory for travelling by bike.

Product Description:

Maya Cycle is a versatile one-wheel bicycle cargo trailer with a capacity of 66 lbs (30 kg) that easily converts into a wheelbarrow, allowing you to carry your cargo conveniently to where you want it. With its featured kick-stand, Maya Cycle will hold your bicycle standing upright for easy loading and unloading. Compatible with most bicycles using 26 inch wheels and larger, Maya Cycle quick-release (QR) or specially designed adaptors, allow you to easily attach or remove the trailer from the bicycle in seconds!

Maya Cycle’s single wheel follows directly in line with your bicycle tires and sustains a low centre of gravity, maneuvering easily around sharp turns and corners. With Maya Cycle’s unique patent pending design, you won’t find a better quality trailer at a better price for your cargo transporting needs.

I am really surprised with Jim’s comments.
I am not sure where Jim bought his trailer. There is a cheep copy of Maya Cycle trailers sold by the Chinese distributor on the internet now.
Our experience with the trailer is excellent! the trailer weights exactly as is specified on Maya Cycle website! Plastic bearings are glued to the tube, so the fork fits very well.
The paint and welds are excellent too.
I wish I had more info what he got.

yes my review is inaccurate. We have identified factors that identfy my Maya trailer as a counterfit, or copy of a Maya trailer. I am working with the moderator of this web site to have my review deleted.
