Just like last year, Christmas is quickly closing the gap. If you’re anything like me, you’re probably just starting to gather gifts now. Though there’s not a lot in the thermal department, there’s still a load of cool new gear that can play a role throughout the year (didn’t mean to make that rhyme but it works). Jump past the break for a fully loaded clothing roundup special…
Donkey Label
Donkey Label has brought their crowd pleasing DL Staple bib back with the Staple 2.0 bib shorts. There’s no cuff, which means there’s a super aero and comfortable border between the fabric and the leg; not to mention an even amount of pressure around the quad. They are shorter than the previous iteration, but claim it’s just as comfortable.
They’re also bringing out the long sleeve Block Retro jersey. The fabrics of choice include an American knit & spandex along with an Italian mesh for a snug fit. It’s designed with all conditions in mind, breathable during the summer, and a snug layer blocking the chills during the winter. Sizes: XS-XXL (Bibs) S-XL (Jersey) Prices: $225-235 (Bib) : $155 (Jersey)

Velocio
The Luxe bib short by Velocio were built from scratch focusing on key features of any bib. They used a very fine fabric that’s woven super tight with almost double the amount of Lycra. It’s look and feel is similar to a microfiber, but with more elasticity. Their goal was to create a bib that is unnoticeable while riding. They used fewer seams to give some shape to the bib, but it relies more on the elastic properties more than previous shorts. Fewer seams reduces friction leading to a more comfortable fit. Sizes: XS- XXL Price: $260
