The internal routing is for RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper posts- or any other droppers that have a cable coming out of the bottom of the seatpost (inside the frame). As far as the chain guide, it may be redundant with Shadow+ rear derailleurs, but the option is nice and the weight added is nominal. Think of the FS01 29 as an all-around XC/trail bike. I was surprised at how good the suspension felt on truly rough stuff and could easily see setting one up with a 120mm fork and a dropper post, just as Tobias has. I’ll see what I can do about getting one on test…
