Ibis New Bike Teaser

Ibis is set to release a new bike on Monday, and they seem to have teaser photos down. The group above was posted with the title, “Here’s a nice little compendium of past present and future Ibis.” If that wasn’t enough of a teaser, there’s one more after the break.

Ibis New Bike Teaser2

Figure it out yet? Check back Monday for the reveal.

Can I offer a new logo in trade for a bike?

I hope Ibis will make a super rad video with Brian Lopes being awesome to promote it.

Additionally, whatever they reveal pray it will be available soon afterwards, unlike the Ripley which we heard about the development for what seemed like 5 years.

everyone does a carbon 29er hardtail, but that doesn’t mean IBIS couldn’t do it better. Or even better, an alum 29er HT. I sense more of a mojo 275 though.

If it’s anything like the Ripley, it won’t be available for purchase for at least 18-24 months.

I’m not so sure it’s a full bike at all? I’d hazard a guess it might be a 27.5 rear end that is interchangeable between some of the product lines?

You guys are reading too much (or not enough) into the first image. They said those are images of “past, present, and future” bikes.

My bet’s that the new bike will be a Mojo SL-R HD Fatbike with fender mounts, full-carbon Campagnolo seat post, a PF 100 BB, Bluetooth, and one cup espresso maker…

…that will only be marketed to dentists…

Sorry, H8ters. ; )

Ibis Szazbo Carbon SL 27.5. No DW Link, just an awesome new single pivot design that counters all pedaling force by creating pogo force. Less active while descending and fully active while climbing in the saddle.

Hopefully this “teaser” doesn’t have to keep my attention for as long as they needed to keep it for me to buy a Ripley……years pass……yawn…….wait, Im too old now to even ride a bike…..

Whatever it is I am betting on the phrases “650B/27.5” and “Enduro” being in the description.

All mountain is dead…. Long live enduro!!!!!!

I don’t think they are drop bars at all, they are suspension forks…it is the shadow playing tricks on us! What appears to be the lower – or drop – part of the handlebar is in fact the brace on the fork lowers, while the upper curve is the fork crown which is most likely something from RS due to the more pronounced ‘arch’ shape they have between the stanchions. The handle bars can’t be seen except maybe in the blotch of shadow on the rock at very top left of the image. If I am correct with that assumption, then what appears to be the top tube will in fact be the shock and if that too is a correct assumption, it all fits with the ‘Mojo’ shape. Therefore a middle wheeled Mojo it must be! especially as it seems you aren’t the real deal in 2014 without 27.5″ wheels….
PS; As far the wait goes, I doubt it will be anywhere near as long as the Ripley because it will be a lot easier for the Ibis crew to tweak/modify a current platform than design a whole new one as they had to do with the wagon wheels.
