For the new model year, Dahon has released a range of new folding bikes for every price point. From single speeds to Rohloffs, to mini full suspension systems, they have a bike that will suit your needs.
Pictured above, the Boardwalk S1 is a single speed folding bike that costs $299 and comes with a rear rack, full fenders, and a kickstand. At just 27.6 lbs, it’s a great gateway folding bike.
The 2014 Cia D7 is a step through bike with an interal geared 7 speed Shimano Nexus Hub, that has ergo grips and saddle. Priced at $779, it weighs only 27.6 lbs, and folds to 14.96 ”x 30.71” x 26.38” (38 x 78 x 67 cm).
Featuring an 8 speed drivetrain, the Mu P8 is described as “Dahon’s most versatile, all-round bike.” At 25.6 lbs, it’s intended to be light enough for long weekend rides, and retails for $749 in either Obsidian or Cloud.
Priced at only $399, the Vybe C7a has a seven speed derailleur, and weighs 27.1 lbs.
Another high end model, the Mu SL utilizes a similar frame to the pricier Rohloff build, but instead uses a Formula spoke wheelsets, SRAM Apex Road brakes, and a 10 speed SRAM drivetrain. MSRP is $1,599 and total claimed weight is 23.1 lbs.
The Jetstream P8 Disc utilizes a unique suspension configuration to smoothen poor concrete. Dahon claims the suspension kinematics where developed by das Germans, and a finely tuned X-Fusion rear shock provide an exceptional ride. Power is delivered to the ground by an 8 speed Shimano drivetrain, and Winzip mechanical discs bring it to a stop.
This bike weighs 29.7 lbs and retails for $1,349.
