A new skate park is set to open in July in Flushing, Queens. It’s not just any skatepark, though. The park’s designer, California Skateparks, has taken iconic New York street spots, often sessioned across the state and rolled the whole lot into one plaza.
It’d be near impossible to imitate the Brooklyn Banks, which are reportedly set for demolition later this year, however, features such as the heavily used nine-stair rail are being mimicked in the design.
Does this mean NYC’s security guards are about to get a lot less busy? Personally, I doubt it, you can’t mimic street riding, nonetheless, the park looks like it’ll be a blast to ride.
