Italian bike builder Officine Mattio has an all-new aero carbon Bisalta gravel bike named after the closest mountain peak towering over their backyard at the foot of the Ligurian Alps near the border with France. The all-new Officine Mattio Bisalta is a lightweight race-ready aero gravel bike designed and manufactured entirely in Italy. Then, finally, it’s hand-painted and assembled for each buyer by Officine Mattio in their Piedmont workshop.

Whether covered with snow through the cooler half of the year or with its bare rocky summit exposed during warmer months, Bisalta looms over the Mattio workshop in Cuneo. And it’s a constant reminder that they should head out of the workshop, and enjoy the freedom to pedal up into the mountains, picking whatever type of road they choose.

That’s the core being of their Bisalta gravel bike. Officine Mattio developed the bike to ride fast on paved roads, then seamlessly transition off onto gravel roads, as you leave civilization behind.

With BISALTA, we want to offer a new way of experiencing gravel: a bike that brings together our artisanal tradition and the most advanced technology. Naming it after the mountain that overlooks Cuneo is yet another tribute to our beautiful territory and reaffirms our desire to showcase our region to the world. It is a product born from our land but designed to go far, created for those who seek freedom and uncompromising performance.”

– Giovanni Monge Roffarello, Officine Mattio CEO

Seatpost clamp looks very much off the shelf-a 6K Euro frame deserves something way more elegant.
