Just last week, ORTOVOX announced it is entering the mountain bike market with a focused lineup of premium apparel and packs. Known for its range of avalanche rescue equipment, apparel, and packs for mountain sports like climbing, mountaineering, and backcountry skiing, the new ORTOVOX Sequence line will be the brand’s first foray into mountain biking. We’ve only been given a sneak peek, but the product range has a premium, polished look with some pieces being developed in collaboration with SQLab and GORE-TEX.
The Sequence mountain bike range is a new endeavor for Ortovox, but it isn’t a far reach for the mountain-focused brand. According to Jonathan Degenhardt, Managing Director of Ortovox USA, “Every piece in the SEQUENCE collection was designed from the ground up. Nothing was adapted from existing gear. We saw a clear opportunity to support a growing community of mountain athletes, and we’re investing in mountain biking with the same dedication to quality, safety, and responsibility that defines every part of our brand.”

The Sequence Series has something for most riders. It includes Trail and “Free” tops and bottoms, GORE-TEX pants and jackets, and liner shorts for men and women. It also includes the Daypack 15 and the Hip Pack 3.
Here’s what ORTOVOX told us about its soon-to-be-released Sequence products:

Sequence Trail:
Durable and breathable gear for long rides and technical terrain. The Trail collection includes the Trail Jersey Long Sleeve (MSRP $115.00) made from 100% textile-to-textile (T2T) recycled polyester with odor control, and the Trail Pants (MSRP $200.00) and Trail Shorts (MSRP $170.00) featuring 4-way stretch and ventilation zones.

Sequence Free

ORTOVOX Sequence Availability
ORTOVOX is announcing its Sequence mountain bike apparel and packs now, but the new gear won’t be available until next spring. We’re hoping to get our hands on some of the new gear for testing and review prior to its launch, and we’ll be sure to let you know about it if/when we do.
